The story behind Fairplay

Fairplay was built by punters, for punters. From initial concept to today’s multi-dimensional betting platform, Fairplay is designed to meet the needs of punters in today’s markets.

What started as a challenger idea in 2021 is now one of the most flexible betting platforms available today.

2021

The Idea

Fairplay was founded on the golf course to address an issue in betting with friends… GETTING PAID! Creating a platform that allowed friends to bet between each other, lock in the funds and guarantee the payout.

2023

Day one

Fairplay was launched into the market with a bang, delivering a peer-to-peer betting platform, letting users create custom bets vs their friends that locked in the funds and guaranteed getting paid out.

2024

SWEEPSTAKES LAUNCH

Following a successful launch, Fairplay evolved the social betting product to deliver public sweepstakes. This allowed users to enter randomised sweepstake draws that delivered cash prizes based upon the outcomes of sporting events.

Fairplay evolved from being a social betting platform shared amongst friends, to a new community led platform where users could enter sweepstakes against other users of the platform without directly knowing them.

2025

THE SPORTSBOOK GOES LIVE

The vision was clear... Sweepstakes, Social Betting, Sportsbook all three elements under one platform.

The Fairplay sportsbook launched with competitive odds, a clean interface and all the sporting fixtures you would expect from a modern sportsbook platform.

TIME FOR RACING

The online UK racing market is a particular one, and Fairplay identified early on that it needs its own dedicated resources.

Following consultation with leading racing operators, Fairplay built out our Racing product, dedicated to UK punters, and delivering a product that lets customers bet and stream horse and greyhound races from around the world.
